"AFFICHES" = POSTERS
"AFFICHES" is the title of a growing number of works in which one or more media such as photographs, sketches and texts are collected and brought together as an entirety. To me, this amounts to making a new form of catalogue; instead of making a hand-seized book, it is a growing series of new works that relates to my oeuvre, in which as much as possible is condensed. The series includes exhibitions, actions, performances, texts, letters, emails, correspondence about the work and legal matters (which do indeed occur). These stand in connection to the works of art and in turn to life. The works are also regularly presented, for example at the annual Arti Salon in Amsterdam. Several Posters were shown in the exhibition "Vrijplaats bij MIJ" from June to October 2019.

Before that until 2004, it was called RESERVATION-SERVICE. It started in 1978 in collaboration with Jockel Heenes. He died in 2004.
From 1983, the Reservation Service was no longer operating in public areas. It had taken another route, through the mail: often generously made postcards incorporating the concept of reservation. Letters about exchanging thoughts, existence and art. Together a diary of two artists. These are not pictured here. The originals are part of the composite ‘Time is all Reserved’.
